Kut Haus Salon is always willing to donate haircut services on behalf of each stylist for charities and foundations that improve the lives of residents in Covina and the neighboring cities.

Covina Press Courier Highlander praised Kut Haus Salon in 2013 for the fifth-annual Dare to Care Cut-a-Thon in 2013 benefiting the Citrus Valley Hospice where over 40 stylists from local salons participated to cut and style hair. All the proceeds were donated to hospice center. The fundraiser was started to honor Patricia Allen, the late wife of Covina Mayor, Walt Allen. She passed away from breast cancer, and was known for her generous support for other women and people who were sick. The San Gabriel Valley Tribune also recognized Kut Haus Salon in 2014 for their philanthropy in offering 3,800 employees of the Citrus Valley Health Hospice free haircuts valued at $208,000. The fundraiser was also in honor of Patricia Allen.

Kut Haus Salon also participated in the South Hills High School’s 2014 Varsity Wrestling Team’s annual tradition of bleaching their hair before league finals. Kut Haus Salon donated haircut services in 2016 to the Brea Chamber of Commerce’s silent auction, which helps to expand Brea’s economic health and overall quality of life by creating a stronger Chamber of Commerce. The donation also benefits the salon by promoting our business to the power players of the business community. Ross Porter from the dodgers came down to support the cause. Other organizations such as Wells Fargo, Dicks Sporting Goods, Miller Brewing Co. came together to donate as well because the fundraiser grew so much over the years.

The fundraiser continued over the span of six years and the total money raised was around $150,000. All the proceeds went to the Citrus Valley Hospice. The fundraiser got really big so a hospice decided to put together a committee which was designed to set up and organize the event and get city to gather parks and rec chamber and rotary involved, they were the ones that got ross porter who loved the idea and they got the big names, dicks sporting goods, wells fargo, miller, joshua tree u2 cover band happened in heritage park in covina.
